04Legal Basis for Processing

05Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies. Necessary cookies are always active. Analytics and marketing tools are only used if you agree in the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
We use the following tools:
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited): shows us which pages are visited and where visitors come from.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited): measures the results of our ads on Facebook and Instagram and lets us show ads to people who visited our website.
- Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited): measures whether an ad led to an enquiry and lets us show ads to people who visited our website.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG). Google and Meta may also process data in the USA. These transfers are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.
06Fonts
This website uses Adobe Fonts (Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd, 4–6 Riverwalk, Citywest Business Park, Dublin 24, Ireland) to display its typeface. When a page opens, your browser loads the font from Adobe’s servers, which receive your IP address. Adobe Fonts does not set cookies. Adobe may also process data in the USA, based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent appearance of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
07Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. We share data with trusted service providers (for example hosting providers) under data processing agreements, and with Google and Meta when you have agreed to analytics or marketing cookies.
Hosting. This website is delivered via Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address to deliver the page and protect it against attacks. Cloudflare may also process data in the USA; this is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and fast website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Contact form. When you write to us through the contact form, we store your details (name, practice, email address, specialty, message) to answer your request. So that we hear about a new request right away, it is forwarded to us by email through the service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA; sent via its EU region in Ireland). The legal basis is your consent and the handling of your request (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR). We delete the details once they are no longer needed for your request and no legal retention obligations apply.
Visitor statistics. To understand how our website is used, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. The service does not set cookies and does not build user profiles; it only records aggregated information such as pages viewed, referring website, country, device type and loading times. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in designing the website according to need (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Spam protection. To protect the contact form against automated requests, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. When you fill in the form, Turnstile checks technical characteristics of your browser (for example IP address and browser information) to tell whether the request comes from a person. Turnstile does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
08Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on servers located in the EU. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it.
